This week is National Science Week, an event for schools. That reminds us of the website Deadly Science.
Deadly Science's Mission is 'Providing science, technology, engineering & maths education & resources for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander learners in Australia'. It was founded by Kamilaroi man, Corey Tutt OAM (NSW Young Australian of the Year, 2020) and has recently won awards for its work.
The Deadly Science website contains a number of programs, Teacher's Guides and related material to support science programs for First Nations students, especially in remote areas. Deadly Science has delivered more than 25,000 books, 8000 boxes of resources, 1500 Lego kits, and 700 telescopes to more than 800 schools and 34,000 learners across Australia.
Deadly Science seeks donations to continue its work.
